Always check your couch's tag. "W" means water-based cleaners, "S" means solvent-based (like rubbing alcohol), and "S/W" means either.

The Rubbing Alcohol Trick

For "S" couches, spray rubbing alcohol on stains and scrub gently with a light-colored sponge. Alcohol evaporates quickly, preventing water rings.

Fluff it Up

Once dry, the microfiber might feel stiff. Use a soft scrub brush to gently fluff the fibers back to their original softness.
